Abstract

PEREZ QUINTANA, Dayan; MORALES GARCIA, Yosan  and  MARANTE RIZO, Francisco. Circular Polarization Patch Antenna for RFID Applications. EAC [online]. 2018, vol.39, n.2, pp. 92-103. ISSN 1815-5928.

This article, a circular patch is presented, using electromagnetic coupling in a single layer as a feeding technique, capable of generating wide-band circular polarization. The circular polarization (CP) is obtained with the variation in one of the feeding arms, while the increase in the bandwidth (BW) is achieved by making two incisions at the edge of the circle. The results of the simulation are validated using the substrate FR4, obtaining an BW in CP below 3 dB of 142.9 MHz (2.37 GHz-2.51 GHz) which represent 5.86% with respect to the center frequency. The presented data are relative to the central frequency of 2.44 GHz applicable to RFID readers in the Industrial, Scientific and Medical (ISM) band, achieving a cheap, efficient design and providing a viable solution for these applications
