Abstract

In this paper presents a multicriterial heuristic based model for determining the capacity in assembly manufacturing footwear companies in the province of Tungurahua. This is focused from different approaches of how the companies manage the processes in a development environment with support in work study techniques. The analysis of a group of companies indicated that 11% of them have high capacity, 78% acceptable and 10% low. The SMEs evidence disadvantages in the efficient use of human resources and machinery. The results of the model used to identify companies with maturity in the management of their processes and others that deserve support to analyze and respond with data and facts to eliminate the principal causes of their problems.
