Abstract

VLADIMIROVICH-FEDOSOV, Valeriy  and  FEDOSSOVA, Alina. Emissions optimization of road network of urban infrastructure. Ing. Ind. [online]. 2017, vol.38, n.2, pp. 143-153. ISSN 1815-5936.

This paper proposes a mathematical model and the numerical solution of the problem originated by the excessive pollution emitted by a network of roads, and its implications on the rest of the urban infrastructure. It is assumed that the roads contain the additional elements in the emissions, such as intersections or road crossings, turns and walkways. The infrastructure included areas with different levels of environmental norms. The proposed model was formulated as an optimization subject to infinite set of constraints. To solve the problem, the stochastic outer approximation method was developed in MATLAB. The numerical solution found optimizes the track vector of potential contaminants across the network. The software determines the mapping of pollution per units, and in general the total emissions, in addition to the pollution of the elements of each track.

Keywords : pollution norms; semi-infinite programming; stochastic algorithms.
