The world in general requires, at present, of competent professionals in every business entity, which constitute the main resource of organizations and it is the training of them, one of the key ways to promote the integrity of these and the development of the business entities. The importance of the training process and to improve it, it requires the knowledge of this through history. When making a compilation of the major historical moments of the training process in the World, from the perspective of various authors and systematized by the researchers, a characterization of the historical evolution of the training in the world is done with the use of the method document review, than the possibility of recognizing the evolution that has distinguished this process in the global context and able to assume the strengths and limitations that have arisen stems from what strategic actions can be traced to contribute to its improvement.
