Abstract

The article deals with the historical evolution of the population’s economic activity, as well as the effect it has produced on the availability of labor resources and the extinction of the demographic dividend as a consequence of the loss of the replacement capacity of the economically active population, a result not of demographic aging, but of the secular decline in the economic participation of population, given the inability of the economic model to absorb the resources that the population makes available to it.
