Maintaining healthy habits and lifestyles are the first prevention and treatment strategy for this condition.

The McNemar test and ANOVA were applied to verify changes in the variables blood pressure, body mass index and waist circumference.

Results:

At the beginning of the intervention, patients with high normal blood pressure figures (50.00 %), obesity (58.33 %) and very high risk according to waist circumference (66.67 %) predominated. After the intervention, patients with optimal blood pressure (66.67 %), overweight (58.33 %) and very high risk (50.00 %) predominated.
