Abstract

This article tries to expose the socio-cultural and educational situation in a rural environment in relation to the modernity and demands of the XXI century supported by previous results that were obtained through a study conducted in a rural area of Chimbo canton of the province of Bolivar in Ecuador, where there is a well-known, a set of educational needs susceptible to government attention. The conceptions and actions required to change this reality are specified, which warns of the consequences of the limitations that underlie it related to the existing pedagogical resources that hinder the teaching - learning process that takes place there. The overall result is based on in different sources and the combination of methods associated with the systematization of the author's experience in the work that has been deployed in order to improve the teaching-learning process that takes place in rural areas in the Ecuadorian context.
