The article deals with changes in the development of methods and approaches related to the reading-comprehension of the English language as a foreign language, determined by the activity of man and reflected in different historical contexts. Seen this as technological innovation and from a CTS approach as an inescapable necessity for the full development of man, providing information on important aspects in the cognitive, communicative and sociocultural spheres to all those who, in one way or another teach this language, is the objective of this bibliographical study; providing tools for the performance of teachers and professionals in general
