Abstract

ROMERO LUZURIAGA, Danny Eduardo. Simplification of restorative procedures in the subsequent sector through the preparation of semi-rigid models for the Dentistry career of Guayaquil University. Conrado [online]. 2019, vol.15, n.66, pp. 111-115.  Epub Mar 02, 2019. ISSN 1990-8644.

Often patients attend the dentist requesting procedures that require few appointments and if possible to be performed all on the same day of consultation, so current restorative procedures merit rapid and reliable techniques that allow satisfactory results for both, the clinician as for the patient. Many of the restorations needed by patients in the posterior sector merit both the complexity and the ability of the professional to be indirectly performed, these processes have two ways: the first one is to be sent to a laboratory and the second one is to have sophisticated equipment in the clinic as is the Cad-Cam system. The objective of this work is to report the preparation of working models in silicone, obtaining semi-rigid models that facilitate the fabrication of indirect restorations in composite resin. In conclusion, it is considered that this technique is a fast and precise procedure, allowing the clinician to solve this procedure in his own practice, which he would normally have to send to the laboratory, saving in addition time and money.
