The teacher's leadership in higher education fluctuates constantly according to the dynamics of society. If in the last century the teacher had the power to transmit knowledge, in the 21st century its main function is to guide the students in the achievement of their own learning objectives. This is why educational leadership is currently being discussed, a mixture of the emerging theories of leadership that have been studied since around 1940. The objective of this article is to identify which leadership styles are exercised by the teachers of the Communication - Journalism of the University Corporation Minuto de Dios Zipaquirá headquarters. For this purpose, the MLQ questionnaire (Multifactorial Leadership Questionnaire) was applied to the total of the target population.
