Abstract

The efficient use of teaching literature is a necessity for students of higher level, in a society that imposes new challenges to achieve a proper management of the different documents, in which manifested limitations to determine what is relevant and what isn't, how to apply the knowledge that they possess, how to discriminate and add value to certain information to become it into new knowledge. This work aims to determine trends in the process of formation of the undergraduate professional, in particular of the management of knowledge through the use of educational literature. For their development, it sets the stage from 1961 until 2018, comprised of four fundamental periods, that determine the main regularities that allow reaching stage trends, emphasizing the need to contribute to the development of skills that respond to how and what to learn.
