The teaching activity represents a challenge for those who dedicate themselves to it and it is common to look for constant updating, however, sometimes this update is focused on planning processes, teaching-learning techniques, evaluation, etc. Leaving aside the interrelation with authorities, partners and students, this is how the work presented below allows for the preparation of a review of the book entitled My first year as a teacher. Manage and live it, written by Todd, Madeline and Katherine Whitaker provides the reader with an answer to those questions that, along fifteen topics, leads us to identify strategies that will surely make the teaching work not only more bearable but effective.
