Abstract

ANTUNEZ SANCHEZ, Armando Guillermo  and  VEYTIA BUCHELI, María Guadalupe. Development of research competences and use of technological tools in information management. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.72, pp. 96-102.  Epub Feb 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

The objective of the study was to identify the investigative competences through the use of technological tools in the process of scientific information management developed by Latin American teachers, and to analyze the gaps and inconsistencies found among the tools designed, those identified and the employed. We worked on a quantitative approach, an exploratory-descriptive research, with a non-experimental design. The population was 251 teachers from 11 countries in Ibero-America, using the survey as a technique and the questionnaire as a tool. The main results highlight that the accessibility to ICT by university teachers has increased considerably in recent years, as well as the importance of investigative skills to respond to the demands of today's society, however, the use of ICT as a resource to generate information management processes is still in the development stage.
