Abstract

FUENTES LEANDRO, Eimy  and  SANTOS PULIDO, Azalea de la Caridad. The poetry that is born in your body: the woman's body in the poetry of Jose Marti. Conrado [online]. 2020, vol.16, n.73, pp. 320-326.  Epub Apr 02, 2020. ISSN 1990-8644.

The present investigation was motivated by the absence of academicals studies about the artistic work with the women’s body in the poetry of José Martí. Therefore, it was proposed to systemize the ways that the women’s body are presented in his poetry, taking notice of the determinations and the description of some of the most relevant parts of the women’s body mentioned in his poems. Consequently, the following constitutive elements of the women’s body were analyzed: hair, forehead, eyes, mouth and lips, shoulders, arms, hands and the artistic construction of the face, due to the relevance of those elements in his poetry. The proposed results are just another way to approach the investigation of the women’s body in the poetry of José Martí.
