ALVAREZ GOMEZ, Sharon Diznarda; ROMERO FERNANDEZ, Ariel José; ESTUPINAN RICARDO, Jesús  and  PONCE RUIZ, Dionisio Vitalio. Selection of the tutor based on the quality of the teaching in research methodology. Conrado [online]. 2021, vol.17, n.80, pp. 88-94.  Epub June 02, 2021. ISSN 1990-8644.

Higher education is facing great challenges such as adaptation to the ever-changing environment; increasing coverage with quality and equity; incorporation of new technologies to educational processes; knowledge management; research training with the ability to provide solutions to the needs and problems of the context. As a result, this article aims to determine the relationship between the training of the tutor teacher and the quality of teaching in research at the Autonomous Regional University of the Andes as a measure for the selection of research professors. To achieve this purpose, data collection techniques such as visual observation, documentary review, interviews and a questionnaire are used to inquire about the quality of teaching in scientific research. In this sense, a descriptive, explanatory, qualitative and quantitative research is designed to address the problem posed.

Keywords : Quality of teaching; teaching-research relationship; integral teacher training.
