Bullying is a scourge on a universal scale, which affects the normal integral development of students. In order to analyze the causes and consequences of bullying in Ecuador, a descriptive study of a bibliographic review type was carried out, based on the methods of scientific research; hermeneutical, content analysis and analytic-synthetic, which allowed determining that bullying is a problem present in Ecuadorian schools with the aim of damaging the moral integrity of the victim through verbal, physical or psychological aggression, often undervalued and ignored by the educational community. This scourge not only harms the victim, it also has negative consequences for the perpetrator and bystanders. Its causes are multiple, sociocultural, family and school organization.
