The emergence of a new human coronavirus, SARS-CoV-2, constitutes a global health problem that causes serious respiratory tract infections and at the same time a highly contagious person-to-person disease. The humanized care that must be provided to these patients is an ethical responsibility associated with the duty of nurses; and therefore, the objective of this study is to know the perception of care and in turn to explore the experiences and emotions of nursing health personnel when treating patients with Covid-19, emphasizing respect, kindness, love, compassion and dignity, maintain the confidentiality of the same. According to the time period, it is a cross-sectional investigation since the data were collected in a single moment by 25 nurses from the IESS of Latacunga, who present their perception of the care and treatment of the infected patient. The results denote a lack of training, biosafety elements, emotional containment strategies, among others, that hinder the work of the nurse. In conclusion, the relationship that can be developed between nurse and patient will help to reduce the risk of future sequelae, since with the correct care, the process of sanitation in the patient and the capacity of others can be accelerated. In addition, there is a need to maintain the training of nursing personnel.
