Abstract

The general objective was to determine the relationship between the use of virtual tools and academic satisfaction in students of private universities in Lima Sur - Peru. The specific objectives were: to determine the relationship between the use of storage tools and academic satisfaction; Identify the relationship between the use of collaborative tools and academic satisfaction; define the relationship between the use of communication tools and academic satisfaction; specify the relationship between the use of tools for content creation and academic satisfaction; Evaluate the relationship between the use of tools for evaluation and academic satisfaction. The study had quantitative approach, non -experimental design and correlational descriptive level. The population were 3,850 students from a private university in Lima Sur, Peru. The sample were 127 students of the sixth industrial engineering cycle. The data were collected through a questionnaire with 45 questions, which had four response options. The results showed that 54.3% of respondents receive average level of the use of virtual tools, also 47.2% reported average level in academic satisfaction. On the other hand, the existence of a high positive correlation between both variables was verified, since r = 0.680 and sig = 0.000 <0.00.
