Abstract

This article addresses the problem of the absence of the State and the lack of Public Governance in front of the Vulnerability of the Protection System for Victims, Witnesses, and Other Participants of the Criminal Process in Ecuador. Consequently, this has led other states to adopt policies to combat organized crime corruption, making it crucial that we follow suit. This article was prepared using documentaries, bibliographic sources, and studies by experts who have conducted research on the program of protected participants in other legislations. Hence, this work highlights the State-victim importance and relationship, how the use of technology can guarantee the integrity and effectiveness of the prosecution system for the victim in criminal proceedings, contributing to obtaining results and mitigating organized crime in Ecuador.
