Abstract

The paper analyzes the importance of didactics as a science in the training of all education professionals. It is justified considering that it allows an efficient conduct of the teaching process learning in a way that encourages a comprehensive training for this profession. The objective of this study was to determine the need to continue delving into the subject from its theoretical and methodological structure, categories, principles and functions. The methodology responded to the bibliographic review, collection of materials related to the topic and a search of articles in the main databases available. The qualitative approach was adopted, with analytical and descriptive design. The result of the analysis showed that didactics, helps in the process of apprehension and teaching in the formation of the intellect, change attitudes, improve understanding, so that it could contribute to a comprehensive learning, in the form of teaching, adapted to the needs and vicissitudes of the social and cultural environment seeking to effectively build a holistic and integral human education.
