The objective of the work is a proposal of efficient equipment for extracting sand in Arimao deposit from (Cienfuegos) that guarantees the complete and rational exploitation of reserves with the minimum production costs. The fundamental parameters that influence the extraction of sand in the aforementioned deposit were reached based on the experts' criteria (Delphi method), which made it possible to propose the use of the suction dredger, which extractable reserves increase from 2 262 137 m3 to 3,868,728 m3, when extracting the flooded reserves left by the extraction with the dragline.
