Abstract

RODRIGUEZ GONZALEZ, Manuel; SANTANA SOTOLONGO, Martín; BROWN MANRIQUE, Oscar  and  ALONSO DE LA PAZ, Freddy. Surge flow associated to the cultivation of the onion and their efficiency in the floor losses and it dilutes for surface. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.4, pp. 50-54. ISSN 2071-0054.

With the objective of to evaluate the effectiveness of the surge flow and to compare it with of continuous flow associated of the onion crops, in floor leached red ferriferous (Nitisol ródico-éutrico) determining the surface glide, the intensity and the lost of floor in the effective area of each treatment. The experiment was carried out with a design in fringe that obeys the nature of the study, with two treatments of 15 furrows each variant with the presence of a witness. The results indicate that the biggest sheet been slippery as average reached it the treatment of continuous flow with losses of 2,87 L·m-2 that overcomes in 2,7 times to the parcel of surge flow. The biggest floor losses reached it the treatment witness that overcomes 4,9 times to the witness with losses of 24,6 kg for watering existing significant differences among the two treatments in that moment and under those conditions. The surge flow allows to increase the efficiency of the application watering in 23% with 77,2% of the volume of water applied by the treatment witness. With the technique of surge flow you can improve the technical and productive indicators of the activity of the surface watering.

Keywords : surge flow; glide parcel; surface watering.
