Abstract

PONVERT DELISLES, Dámaso  and  ANDES LAU QUAN. Use of satellite images and GIS in the branch of the agricultural engineering. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2013, vol.22, n.4, pp. 75-80. ISSN 2071-0054.

The systems of agricultural engineering constitute groups of techniques and technologies those guarantee the agricultural production. In general, they produce certain impacts to the environment. These impacts have negative consequences on the natural resources producing prints in the territory. At the present time it was applied with success very effective technologies as the Remote Sensing and GIS to identify the spatial print of these impacts and to support the decisions that help the managers and specialists to take measured correctives and prospective. The objectives is To Identify those task in which’s is more appropriated using Remote Sensing and GIS technologies for evaluating the impacts provoked for the employment of the agricultural engineering equipment and technologies. For that the impacts associated with the soil preparation, men’s actions and unappreciated cultivation techniques are characterized. Also the field of application of the satellite images and GIS are analyzed as well as these technologies can be used in the concrete case of the wrong managing of the watering systems. Acquisition of soil salinity map cropped with sugar using remote sensing and artificial neural networks techniques were explained. As conclusion it is corroborated the necessity and importance of the training in the employment of these technologies to face reach bigger efficiency in the environmental sustainability of the agricultural production.
