The calculation methodology of the economic and energetic costs is intended to produce an apt ox for the agricultural works from his birth to his sale to the customer, corresponding to his first 30 months of life. The quantities and energetic equivalencies of the food, medication, the direct staff, electricity and fuel were determined on the base of the existent data at the Livestock Company “Valle del Peru”, in the Mayabeque province, LABIOFAM and the feed Factory of Jaruco, Cuba. The obtained costs were the following ones: energetic total of 32 051.39 MJ/ox and economic total of 1 312.71 peso/ox, as well as the energy for each inverted peso is of 24.42 MJ/peso.
