GARCIA RUBIDO, Milagros; PONCE DE LEON, Daniel; ACOSTA AGUIAR, Yenssy  and  MARTINEZ ACOSTA, Leonel. Influences of the Canavalia ensiformis (L) D.C in the biological activity and distribution of the aggregates of the soil in a dedicated area to the cultivation of the tobacco. Rev Cie Téc Agr [online]. 2015, vol.24, n.1, pp. 59-64. ISSN 2071-0054.

With the aim to determine the influence of the Canavalia ensiformis, L. as green manure, in the biological activity and the distribution of the classes of aggregates of the soil resistant to the water, in an area the Tobacco Experimental Station in San Juan y Martinez dedicated to the cultivation of the tobacco (Nicotiana tabacum, L.), it was carried out an experiment bifactorial distributed of blocks was used at random with three variants and four replications, that it includes the handling of the canavalia inoculated with HMA, canavalia without inoculation and the witness conformed by fallow in the soil. The contents of organic matter (MO), breathing basal of soil (Rb) and the distribution of soil aggregates resistant to the water were determined. The variant where the canavalia was inoculated with HMA it reached the best results in the indicators of breathing of soil, total content of organic matter and the distribution of the aggregates from the resistant soil to the water. The results indicate that the time of rest that are exposed these soil, can annul the positive effects of the alternating cultivations in the improvement of the evaluated indicators.

Keywords : green manure; breathing basal of soil; structural stability of soil.
