Abstract

The aim of this paper is to present the methodology for determining the unit cost of the use of machinery for conservation in the Irrigation Districts. The unit cost allows establishing the shares for customer in the recovering of water resources. This cost is related to the operation, management and conservation of the various works and infrastructure such as cleaning, weeding, dredging, tracking dirty roads, repair of locks, etc., and that most of the time are made with heavy machinery mainly including backhoes, excavators, bulldozers, tractors, etc. The methodology was applied to the Irrigation District 100 Alfajayucan, Hidalgo, México
