Abstract

RUGEL VEGA, Nelson A.. Assessing the Value of Declining Companies. Cofin [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.1  Epub May 14, 2020. ISSN 2073-6061.

Investors and business managers are always interested in knowing the value of their shares on capital markets, with the aim of making decisions as for negotiating them when they have reached their peak prices -just the right time to do it-, or avoiding price falls by considering changing conditions, or selling them for good prices before crises occur. This paper is aimed at examining the diverse business valuation methods and assessing the value of declining companies. A document analysis was performed. Its results permit to determine what effect risk factors have on capital cost and share value.

Keywords : capital cost; business valuation methods; share value; spread..
