Abstract

CAMPOS LOPEZ, Sandra Eloina; PELAYO CORTES, Maria Magdalena  and  VELAZQUEZ NUNEZ, Jorge Javier. Corporate Social Responsibility-A Study of Companies in Agriculture and Stockbreeding Sectors in Jalisco. Cofin [online]. 2020, vol.14, n.1  Epub May 14, 2020. ISSN 2073-6061.

Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) is very important to today’s economy, because a social approach to business activities is being increasingly adopted, with interest groups within organizations being required to behave ethically and responsibly. This is why this paper is aimed at comparing the level of corporate social responsibility of companies in Lo Arado and San Miguel, in the Mexican State of Jalisco. Both places are basically agricultural and stockbreeding regions. Mixed methods research including surveys and mathematical statistics was carried out. The results show differences between agriculture and stockbreeding sectors: companies in the former one are more prepared for gaining a certificate in corporate social responsibility in the future.

Keywords : agriculture; stockbreeding; social responsibility..
