Abstract

Background:

the application of the new information and communication technologies, as a tool for the preparation of different teaching and learning aids, has demonstrated its usefulness in the process of training students and in the methodological development of professionals.

Objective:

to design a multimedia with therapeutic, prophylactic and rehabilitative exercises, aimed at preventing diseases and enriching the knowledge of Physical Education teachers.

Methods:

a technological innovation research was carried out at the Faculty of dentistry of Villa Clara University of Medical Sciences from January 2017 to December 2018. Theoretical methods were used: historical-logical, analytical-synthetic and inductive-deductive; Empirical ones: nominal group to teachers, and criteria of specialists and users. Computing programs were used for the design of the multimedia: WebStorm, Photoshop and Windows Office.

Results:

based on the methodological preparation needs of Physical Education professionals, and to have a new learning resource, a multimedia was designed with hyperlinks to the contents in correspondence with the objectives of the program, videos, basic and complementary bibliographies, cases problems and physical and therapeutic exercises.

Conclusions:

the designed multimedia was valued by the criteria of specialists and users, who issued favorable opinions about its design, usefulness, ease of interaction and applicability.
