Abstract

Objective:

The article aims at devising the guidelines for the university management of academic processes based on information technologies.

Methods:

The research was based on an extensive bibliographic reviewing. From a proactive approach perspective, the authoresses rely on modeling for describing the characteristic features of the university process management. In the factual analysis stage, the qualitative approach prevailed to describe, understand and interpret facts and situations in the context; however, quantitative methods and techniques were foreseen to measure indicators modifications.

Result:

The main finding is the guidelines for the university administration of academic processes based on information technologies. This guidelines involver administrative management, use and appropriation of technologies, access, use and protection of information, in its relation to the types of information technologies and implementation challenges. Likewise, the instruments and techniques used in the empirical analysis are exhibited.

Conclusion:

The university administration of academic processes based on information technologies favors the link between the administration of academic processes by creating, designing and maintaining an environment in which the coordinators efficiently achieve institutional objectives, develop planning, organization, direction and control, through the use of technologies with effective, clear, timely and easily accessible communication.
