Abstract

Objective:

This paper aims at revealing José Marti’s imprint in the springing up process of a unique party in Cuba resulting from his social and political leadership.

Methods:

Following a materialist dialectic perspective and a systemic approach, the authors rely on the critical analysis of sources (specifically Marti’s), analysis-synthesis, historical-logical; induction-deduction, systematizing procedures.

Results:

A critical analysis of the theoretical framework is carried out, according to different authors. On that same basis, the authors devise a definition for the notion social dimension of education and its relation to social agents that contribute to the springing up a unique party model in Cuba; it is pointed out what a social educator is; likewise, the relationship between the socio-educational dimension and the social educator is underlined; finally, the authors illustrate ways for understanding by Marti's partisan epistemology and his imprint in the unique party model just mentioned.

Conclusions:

The author arrived at the conclusion that in organizing the Cuban Revolutionary Party Marti contributes to the notion of the need of a unique party. While configuring his political epistemology, he educates the independence forerunners, leaders, and the people, confirming his role as an educative social agent.
