Abstract

A review of the theoretical framework of professional development and teacher professional development, allowing analysis to support the professional development of teachers teaching in the current primary basic education in our country is done. The historical references of teacher education in Colombia and the policies adopted by the government to improve the incorporation of ICT in education elementary basic are presented.
