The formation of traverse competitions in the students is one of the central objectives in the process of improvement of the superior education in Ecuador, in a professional's of quality search and with more possibilities of being inserted in the current labor market. Inside these competitions those focused to the investigation settle down as priority starting from the results of this dimension in the universities. In this report the limitations are described of those that he/she leaves to work the investigative competitions in the career of Agricultural Engineering, ULEAM campus Pedernales. In particular, the results are shown from the diagnosis when valuing the position and formation of the investigative competitions scientist from the profile of the career and the characteristics of graduate formation and students and a proposal is enunciated for the formation of investigative scientific competitions, assisting at the three levels of curricular concretion for those that the student traffics (preparatory, pre-professional and professional) and the integral learnings that will embrace three dimensions.
