Abstract

The peculiarities of Ecuadorian society change in the recent years already leave their mark on structuring the role of the educative psychologist especially from the objectives of the National Plan for Good Living. However, to realize this project implies exploring the conceptions and practices which legitimize the practice of the educative psychologist during its performance in schools. This work aims to contribute identifying synergies which characterize the old and new social commitments of this professional and therefore to establish guidelines for reflections on good practice. For this, theoretical positions are systematized which are compared with the results of surveys, interviews, discussion groups with educative psychologists. The results allow to show commitments and challenges of this profession in Ecuador, they also grant the university the responsibility of developing proposals to ensure interventions quality.
