Abstract

The University, in its dynamics of substantive functions, namely teaching, research and linkage with the community, has been driven by multiple factors that could hinder its management. Hence, the objective of the present scientific work points to the explanation of such dynamics, specifically in the Metropolitan University of Ecuador (UMET), focusing predominantly on the function of linkage and establishing the necessary relationships with the other functions inherent to it. Taking as a significant pivot the aulic experiences in teaching and research concerns, also describe those activities that favor educational practice outside the walls and that are effective in solving or attenuating certain problems that arise in society, as is the case Of the assistance to the community of the ethnic Shuar, realized to the effect.
