Abstract

CHIRIBOGA IZQUIETA, Hugo Gabriel; JIMENEZ, Elizabeth  and  TOSCANINI SEQUEIRA, Paola María. Labor law as a political tool, a historical perspective. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2018, vol.10, n.1, pp. 226-231.  Epub Mar 02, 2018. ISSN 2218-3620.

The historical perspective that we give to labor law as a political tool is positioned as an element of analysis of superlative importance in light of the historical process of the last ten years of management from the central government and all the actors of Ecuadorian society. The objective of this paper is only to express an opinion and share points of view that are not necessarily shared by the authors of this document. The document has been structured making an introduction considering the constitutional and legal basis, we continue with the development, then the scenarios are presented that show us the need to settle in the analysis of the constitutional and labor-specific regulations through relevant comments regarding the relevant labor legislation. The conclusions reached do not intend anything other than inviting the review and reflection of the Ecuadorian forum and academic national actors or from the public and private sectors and raise the need for all of us to be part of the solution by contributing each one from the place where we are. As citizens, labor law is a transversal axis of our economic lives, since we are employees without a dependency relationship, we are employers, hence the importance of paying attention to the issues raised in this document.

Keywords : Labor law; labor flexibility; public service; public order.
