Abstract

Knowledge management has revolutionized the foundations of organizations, especially those inherent in universities, for this reason the objective of determining theoretically the acceptance of knowledge management as a tool to generate added value, with scope in administrative processes in Lay University Eloy Alfaro de Manabí. Bibliographic-documentary review methodology was applied, whose results showed that: knowledge management is based on the knowledge society, computer evolution and globalization, referring to the planning and control of activities for the exploitation of intellectual assets (information, values and experience). ), which relate to human, structural and relational capital, being the first one that has tacit and explicit knowledge, combining experience, skills, learning; the university establishment embodied process management in the value chain, concatenating strategic activities, mission-generating value and enabling (counseling-support), the latter included administrative areas; In conclusion, a model of knowledge management that guarantees the acquisition, development, distribution, use, efficient retention of knowledge is proposed to the Laica University of Manabí, incorporating a feedback system for constant measurement of learning and taking corrective actions. timely preventive for continuous improvement that allows adding value to administrative processes, meeting legal requirements.
