Abstract

This work presents the experience conducted at the School of Law of the Metropolitan University of Ecuador (UMET) in order to contribute to the ongoing debate surrounding the educational paradigm shift and the implications of the competences assessment to promote a multidisciplinary, autonomous and complete learning process. Due to the need of advancing towards an assessment processes within the system of Higher Education of the Republic of Ecuador that enables the development of specific and generic competences in the Law students and their assessment. The author provides specific criteria to be taken into account for the competence training and assessment as well as a relevant planning model.
