Abstract

The present work constitutes an investigative experience of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas, with actors of the community of Namibe in Angola. The article deals theoretically with the role of community tourism and provides information that, based on the methodology used in the fieldwork, made it possible to obtain results at this stage of the study. Theoretical, empirical and mathematical-statistical methods were used, highlighting in them: participant observation, surveys and work with the community forum in three of the five municipalities of the province. It is developed in the context in which the phenomenon under study occurs and the contribution of participatory techniques in knowledge of the potential for the development of community tourism in Namibe territory to derive the results from the proposed procedural actions is highlighted.
