Abstract
FERNANDEZ PICON, Clara; QUINONES FLORES, Mitsi Marleni and PRADO JUSCAMAITA, Justina Isabel. Profile of the aggressor and violence in women in a Periurban zone, Huánuco, Peru. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2019, vol.11, n.5, pp. 124-130. Epub Dec 02, 2019. ISSN 2218-3620.
The research objective was to determine the relationship between the profile of the attacker and couple’s violence on women. The type of research study was prospective, transversal and observational, with correlational design. The sample was 48 women victims of violence, whom applied an interview. It was taken into consideration of research’s ethical principles. The bi varied analysis was compared with the Chi Square test for a p≤0.05. The results showed that the profile of the attacker was at moderate level more than 50% [52.1% (25)], followed by low level [30.4% (15)]. The level of physical violence perpetuated by the attacker was mild in 41.7% (20), the psychological violence was moderate in 47.9% (23), and sexual violence was also moderate level in 50.0% (23). Contrasting the hypotheses, it was observed that the attack on moderate level generates physical, psychological and sexual violence in a mild level, [X2 = 31,353; X2 = 27,794 y X2 = 27,794 respectively for 4 gl., y p = 0,00]. It is concluded that there is a relationship between the profiles of the attacker with couple’s violence, being the significant results that the attack of upper level determines greater level of violence.
