The methodology and results of a study that characterizes the previous publications of the research results obtained by recently graduated doctors of Pedagogical Sciences who defended their theses, between June 2016 and February 2019, are presented before the permanent tribunal of the specialty, based in the University of Holguín. A sample of 110 (78.6%) was intentionally selected from a population of 140 graduates belonging to five universities in the eastern part of the country. The characterization considered four indicators related to the amount of the publications, where and when they were made, and what content was socialized in them. Using the empirical and theoretical methods and procedures and techniques of descriptive statistics, the data was collected and processed and the required information was obtained. They were found as important findings that: the average of publications made by the graduates exceeded the required quantity; There is a significant improvement in the quality and visibility of the magazines where they publish; most articles are published in national magazines; there is a tendency to publish in the last two years of the training process; the content of the publications privileges elements referring to the theoretical-referential framework and the main contributions of the research.
