This research is carried out at the University of Cienfuegos, with the objective of knowing the existing mathematical behavior between energy consumption and the variables that affect it, in order to be able to choose a mathematical model that allows predict future consumption of electricity at the University of Cienfuegos, campus “Carlos Rafael Rodríguez”. Based on the diagnosis made, the main weaknesses in energy management are obtained, so it is decided to carry out a statistical study through the Analysis of Principal Components, Linear Regression and the Design of Experiments to a series of variables that affect energy consumption at the University of Cienfuegos. Among the main results of this study is to know the behavior of these variables, Becas (Bec), PC, Air Conditioners (AA), Total Matrícula (MT), Students of the Regular Course Diurnal (CRD), Workers (Trab) and Diurnal more Workers (DT), and energy consumption, as well as finally being able to choose a model to predict future consumption.
