In Cuba, higher education is socially committed to the comprehensive training of IT engineers. Within the curriculum there are disciplines that complement each other to achieve the integral training of this professional. Higher Mathematics is aimed at teaching content that allows the student to solve computer problems of organizations. The teaching and learning of mathematical concepts and their definitions, in this discipline, are part of the teaching content that contributes to the training and development of computer engineers. Deficiencies detected in the application of mathematics associated with learning the concepts of this science allow us to consider that these do not favor the correct professional performance and therefore do not fulfill their social order. importance of the integration of subjective senses associated with the teaching process, concept learning and its definitions in the Higher Mathematics discipline to achieve the formation of an integral computer engineer as required by the Current society and for this purpose the logical historical method and the synthesis analysis as well as the deductive inductive were used as research methods.
