Abstract

PORTELA, Jorge Guillermo. Ethics and scientific research. Towards a recovery of values in academic life. Universidad y Sociedad [online]. 2020, vol.12, n.5, pp. 337-342.  Epub Oct 02, 2020. ISSN 2218-3620.

One of the central characteristics of traditional thought is having strongly united the concepts of justice, truth and good. This study sets out the extent to which this nexus has to do with the consideration and study of extramental reality. Scientific research involves precisely knowing how to find a path that leads us to the sighting of reality, because it is a process, like the same process of knowledge. Research, on the other hand, implies a respect for values, which are thus seen, can be considered as the "perfume" of education. A descriptive study is used, using theoretical methods such as logical history and synthetic analytical and empirical level document analysis. These methods were accompanied by the corresponding bibliographic review techniques.

Keywords : Ethics; justice; scientific research; values; reason.
