Research in Higher Education Institutions plays an essential role in the development and progress of society. The first years of the undergraduate program constitute the first approach to research practice and, although there is an increase in student participation in Peruvian scientific production, it is still necessary to encourage better research practices among students. In this sense, in the Faculty of Education of the Universidad Nacional Mayor de San Marcos, research work is not consolidated in an integral and interdisciplinary manner and students do not achieve the expected development; therefore, the faculty has set out to design actions that lead to the joint execution of scientific research by students and professors. Hence, the objective of this research is to develop a procedure for student research tutoring, and for the dissemination of research results in the Faculty of Education. The main results obtained from this study are the development of a three-stage procedure for student research tutoring, the dissemination of research results in the Faculty of Education and, the proposal of a set of actions with direct impact on research projects, integrative projects, and scientific publications to help mitigate the shortcomings and weaknesses identified in research training.
