Results data analysis of alumni performance on a standardized test as a benchmark of having acquired the desired academic criteria of a bachelor´s degree program at a university in southeast Mexico helps as a tool for curricula design, teaching practices and in the follow up processes of academic evaluation. This is a quantitative research with non-probabilistic sampling, data of a total population of 61 individuals belonging to four different generational cohorts of alumni who presented the General Bachelor’s Degree Standardized Test for the nutrition area. Descriptive statistics were used on data analysis. Results show that of 63% of the 61 analyzed alumni obtained proof of adequate performance and 35% of those 61 also approved the three major areas evaluated by the standardized test. Levels of performance shown by the generational cohorts analyzed in this research show a greater percentual distribution with low performance in the individualized nutritional care area. The study’s results shed light upon the progress made in the professional formation on nutritional sciences, and help to identify the circumstances that influence in the overall performance of the participants in these standardized tests.
