Abstract

The present work aims to propose actions for environmental education in the face of climate change in the training of professionals at the Universidad de Oriente. Consequently, with the qualitative methodology of social research, various methods and techniques were applied such as analysis - synthesis, inductive - deductive and documentary analysis, during the processing of information derived from the bibliographic study related to environmental education and climate change. Six actions were proposed and their concretion in practice was exemplified through Microbiology and Field Practice courses in Engineering in Agronomy and Bachelor in Education Biology- Geography respectively, as well as in the elective Coastal Heritage. The results obtained allow us to conclude that these subjects have broad methodological potential to address environmental education and denote the importance of specifying in the methodological teaching work, the explanation of climate change and its territorial impact, as well as the development of mitigation and/or adaptation actions.
