Abstract

The paper explains the reasons that justify the inclusion of postdoctoral actions aimed at university teachers and researchers, specialists from companies and organizations linked to Chemical Engineering activities, as a way of competitive growth, possible and necessary, for the country. Additionally, the experiences of these actions that were specified in Cuban and foreign university teachers and business specialists whose activity is linked to the research topics that are developed in the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Central University "Marta Abreu" of Las Villas are exposed. and that have a direct impact on local development. Finally, it is concluded that postdoctoral activities constitute effective ways to strengthen scientific schools and the scientific pyramid that contribute to guaranteeing the renewal of leadership in this activity, specifically linked to chemical engineering.
