Abstract

The person has sought to understand himself in his essence, relationships and context, but his centrality and systematization as an area of knowledge has a broad polysemic sense and different understandings, acquiring different sometimes controversial and contradictory nuances, biasingly affecting the understanding of the person and the human in our time. This article comes from a qualitative study, with design of bibliographic analysis and hermeneutical analysis by researchers, using digital signing as a technique. The objective was to clarify the concept of a person in the context of humanistic understandings and their application value in the fields of education and care. It also provides reflections on the current extended mentality about man, going to the foundations he can reach regarding the valuation of the human in the field of education and care.
