This research work evaluates IT management models, which are based on investment in SME companies in the canton of Guayaquil, the different models evaluated in this work gives guidance to SMEs that wish to evaluate investment in technologies of the information. The research is based on several models that allow you to obtain the investment. The score of the work. The user's score, operational orientation, operational excellence and future orientation. This model is complemented with indicators of the IT4 IT management model prepared by the Ministry of Telecommunications of Colombia. The work is based on a correlational study; applying the deductive - longitudinal method and were used and supplemented by a survey of SME companies in the canton of Guayaquil. Among the main results are that SMEs are committed to trained and experienced personnel for the development and management of the company's technologies, also seen as SMEs in technology as an ally of the end user.
